Tim Tebow continues to be in demand as a speaker and is currently on a six city speaking tour.
According to christianpost.com, Tebow was in Lake Charles, La. last Friday, in Knoxville Sunday and Sioux Falls Monday and Rapid City, S.D. on Tuesday. He will be in Sheridan, Wyoming Wednesday and conclude the tour in Grand Island, Neb. Thursday.
The Joy Agency, which describes itself as a boutique speaking management company for celebrities, managed the tour.
In the appearance Tuesday night at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Night of Champions at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, rapidcityjournal.com reported that several thousand attended to hear his message.
Many wore his jerseys from Denver, the New York Jets and Florida playing days.
Steve Case and his wife, Jenni, said they wanted to bring their 15-year-old twins, Brittany and Brayden, to see a role model.
“He’s one of the real role models in sports who can be proud of what he does off the field, not just on it,’’ Case said.
Tebow said that some days he practiced when he had bruised ribs or shoulders hurting that would need surgery after the season.
“But you know what?’’ he asked. “I’m going to show up and be passionate because I love this game.’’
